.: about Nainital

Nainital is a glittering jewel in the Himalyan necklace, blessed with scenic natural spledour and varied natural resources . Dotted with lakes , Nainital has earned the epithet of 'Lake District' of India . The most prominent of the lakes is Naini lake ringed by hills . Nainital has a varied topography . Some of the important places in the district are Nainital , Haldwani , Kaladhungi , Ramnagar , Bhowali , Ramgarh , Mukteshwar , Bhimtal , Sattal and Naukuchiatal . Nainital’s unending expense of scenic beauty is nothing short of a romance with awe-inspiring and pristine Mother nature.

 Climate at Nainital
Nainital owing to its location, is colder than the rest of the hilly tract of Kumaon region. During monsoon, it gets heavy rainfall. The climate, therefore, is damp. The neighbouring areas of Almora and Ranikhet are warmer than Nainital. Similarly humidity in Nainital is less than in other hill towns. The monthly maximum and minimum temperature of the town ranged between 28°C (82.4°F) and 7°C (44°F).
The best time to visit Nainital is April to October.

ranjan.arora I along with my friends and family had taken a horse ride from mall road to Lands End, Tiffen Top, and Sherwood College. The best thing about the horse ride was the fear you get when the horse starts running on the slippery roads. But it is worth going to Lands End. The best part with us was the clouds you could catch at this place with cool maggi being served.

ranjan.arora We visited snow-view on a cloudy day, and what we could see from the telescope installed there “ Complete White”—a complete waste of Rs 10. But trekking near it is the best thing in the cloudy weather and we loved it.

gaurav10.a We used to go very frequently to Nainital, and spend 3 days around the Mall Road, shopping at Bhutia Market and daily 2 hours of boating.
